This role is an exciting way for someone who is passionate about Family Law to develop a career in legal services. We will provide you with all the support and training you need. Alternatively, you may be an established Paralegal who is looking for a new challenge.
After you have been a paralegal with us for three months, you can consider developing your career further. Anyone with a degree can become a Trainee Solicitor. If you do not have a degree, then you can become a Chartered Legal Executive. We provide non-financial support to all our Paralegals who wish to become Solicitors under the SQE route. Put simply we consider all paralegals with a degree as a Trainee Solicitor (if they wish to become a Trainee Solicitor) and ensure they get the experience they need to qualify. They will also need to, independently from us, pass their SQE exams. We support Chartered Legal Executives on the same basis.
This role is designed for Paralegals who are looking for a new challenge. You will have a passion for Family Law and a desire to help clients. It is essential that you have GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths to grade 4 (C), and live in or close to Taunton, Yeovil or Minehead. It is also essential that you have experience working in a Family department or volunteering within Family Law related charity (such as helping the victims of domestic abuse). IT skills are beneficial but not essential. A degree is not required to be considered.
